The Salzburg Museum has the most impressive examples of its comprehensive historic musical instruments on show, along with the Toy Collection, in the Bürgerspital: four centuries of valuable keyboard, wind, string, plucked and percussion instruments. Audio samples set the instruments resounding once more, testifying to the high quality of the exhibits. CD recordings of historic instruments in the collection are available at the Museum Shop. Rounding off the options, the museum arranges regular guided tours, an exciting children’s programme and intimate concerts.

 

Opening hours: Tue-Sun 9 am–5 pm

July, August and December also Mon 9 am–5 pm
